Fundraising at Zack’s Place
Zack’s Place has been fortunate to develop three individual fundraising events that do not conflict with the many wonderful other non-profit events in our small community.
- The first fundraiser is in the late spring and is called the “Stay at Home Tea”.
- The second fundraising event is on Thanksgiving Day and is called the Turkey Trot, a 5K run.
- The 3rd event is the Dine Around and the catalog is mailed out on January 15.
The funds from each of these events are used for our operational cost. The challenge for a non-profit like Zack’s Place is to cover the operational cost with fundraisers because the majority of the time grant money is for a specific program or event. It is important to not spend these dollars as frugally as possible because there is just enough to cover our operations.
